Nominate an Outstanding Compute Canada Team Member for an Award of Excellence
Compute Canada Launches 2016 Call for Nominations for the Awards of Excellence for Outstanding Team and Support
Have you thanked your local support for advanced research computing lately?
Employed by your university, or one of Compute Canada’s regional partners such as ACENET, Calcul Québec, Compute Ontario (SHARCnet, HPCVL, SCInet) and WestGrid, these experts help you to accelerate and expand your research outcomes.
Compute Canada is launching its second annual recognition awards to begin a tradition of celebrating and recognizing exceptional advanced research computing support and expertise, helping Canada’s research community achieve bigger, better and faster results.
As a national organization, Compute Canada has access to a wealth of expertise, drawn from highly trained people and from research institutions across the country.
We are connecting with researchers and with our regional leaders, to collect nominations of Compute Canada team who have provided exceptional support or service to a researcher or research group. All submissions will be reviewed by Compute Canada’s Management Committee, which includes the four Regional Directors.
Each award recipient will receive a $500 cash prize. One recipient will receive a special additional prize for outstanding achievement. The award ceremony will take place at the High Performance Computing Symposium (HPCS) in Edmonton this coming June 2016, and the recipients will also be featured in the Compute Canada website and newsletter. We plan on selecting three winners this year.
