Marius Paraschivoiu is a research chair on computational fluids dynamic at Concordia. His wind turbine research, supported by Compute Canada, aimed to create engineering guidelines to maximize the power obtained from turbines. http://www.calculquebec.ca/en/general-public-and-media/research/125-paraschivoiu
Compute Canada infrastructure is essential for large computational problems addressed in this research. Accurate modelling and understanding of the aerodynamics of the wind turbine will allow engineers to design better wind turbines. This is a growing industry and an important part of Canada’s development.
